Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions seeks a Senior Retirement Benefits Specialist to provide advanced administrative support for client-sponsored retirement plans, including 401(k) MEP/PEP programs. You will handle complex plan compliance items, assist with Form 5500 audits, and coordinate with retirement vendors to ensure responsibilities are met.

You will mentor team members and partner with vendors to address escalated issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retirement plan administration experience.
• Proven ability to work with large datasets in Excel.
• Payroll experience a plus.
• MEP/PEP administration experience preferred.
• PEO experience a plus.
• Credentials such as ASPPA/NIPA or CEBS preferred; willingness to earn within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced daily plan administration duties including contribution corrections, distribution and loan reviews.
• Communicate with clients regarding 401(k) administration and act as a subject matter resource.
• Work with vendors and auditors to complete annual Form 5500 audits.
• Create and update process documents for 401(k) plan processes.
• Coordinate due diligence on MEPs/PEPs and resolve issues.
• Assist with SAFOs and other plan projects.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Sales, and Client Relations to ensure accurate retirement plan administration.
