Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions seeks a Retirement Benefits Specialist to assist in client-sponsored retirement plans and 401(k) MEP/PEP programs. You will collaborate with retirement vendors to resolve issues and improve plan processes, handling daily administration and compliance tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retirement plan experience
• Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
• Retirement credentials (ASPPA, CEBS) or MEP/PEP experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of retirement plans by uploading contribution files and remitting payments
• Support MEPs and PEPs through daily administration including distributions and loans
• Enroll new participants and correct contribution errors
• Communicate with internal/external customers regarding 401(k) administration and support for Vensure products
• Create and follow/update process documents
• Coordinate with retirement vendors to perform due diligence and resolve issues
• Collaborate with Payroll, Client Relations, and Benefits teams for timely administration
• Coordinate year-end compliance testing and reporting for 401(k) plans
• Provide Form 5500 and audit support
• Maintain accuracy while handling high volumes in a fast-growing environment

Position Summary

The Retirement Benefits Specialist position is responsible for assisting Vensure's Retirement Team by providing administrative support to client sponsored retirement plans and Vensure's 401(k) Multiple Employer Plans (MEP) and Pooled Employer Plans (PEP). In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including plan compliance, supporting clients and participants, retirement-related payroll adjustments and setting up new retirement plans. The Retirement Benefit Specialist partners directly with retirement vendors to resolve issues and find improvements to plan processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of retirement plans by uploading contribution files, resolving file errors, navigating retirement provider websites, and remitting payments.
• Support the Vensure MEPs and PEPs through daily administration including reviewing and approving distributions and participant loans, enrolling new participants, and correcting contribution errors.
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding 401(k) administration, providing subject matter expertise and support for Vensure products and services.
• Ability to both follow and create process documents.
• Partner with Vensure's retirement vendors to perform due diligence on Vensure's MEP/PEP and resolve issues.
• Work with multiple departments including Payroll, Client Relations, and Benefits to coordinate timely administration of retirement plans.
• Coordinate year-end compliance testing and reporting for our various 401(k) plans.
• Annual Form 5500 and audit support
• Maintain accuracy while working with high volumes in a hyper-growth environment

Education & Experience

• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred.
• 2+ years of retirement plan experience
• Group retirement plan (MEP/PEP) experience a plus
• Retirement related credentials a plus (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.)
• Prism HRIS software experience a plus
