Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Senior 3D Substation Physical Designer to produce 3D models and documentation for high and extra high voltage substations. You will work with engineers in a project team with minimal guidance, using Inventor, AutoCAD, P4A and SDS to generate drawings such as General Arrangement, Foundation and Grounding Plans.

Qualifications include an associate degree in drafting or a bachelor in engineering tech (or equivalent with 5+ years 3D drafting) and at least 10 years of 3D

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Drafting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, or a high school diploma with 5+ years of 3D drafting experience.
• Minimum of 10 years preparing 3D substation models and physical design experience.
• Proficient with 3D work using AutoCAD, Inventor, P4A, Vault Pro and SDS.

Responsibilities

• Produce a 3D model that would generate drawings such as General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Sections, Foundation Plans and more.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities.
