Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior 3D Substation Physical Designer to join a project team delivering high and extra high voltage substation design packages with minimal guidance. You will create 3D models and produce General Arrangement drawings, Equipment Plans, Conduit and Trench layouts, BOMs, using Inventor, AutoCAD, P4A and SDS software.

You will interpret vendor data and conduct client walkdowns. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years creating 3D substations models and design deliverables.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools and following CAD standards.
• Ability to visualize layout per client and IEEE standards.
• Experience interpreting vendor data for design integrations.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and generate General Arrangement drawings and BOMs.
• Create Electrical Equipment Plans, Conduit/Trench layouts, and grounding plans.
• Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Conduct client walkdowns at substations.
