dfwHR seeks a Finance Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the annual 1099 reporting program. You will coordinate across finance, technology, tax, and operations, managing timelines, risks, and filing readiness for an enterprise-wide initiative.

The role requires 7+ years of PM experience, strong governance and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and project-management tools. Contract is approximately four months and involves collaboration with external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience managing enterprise-wide projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Knowledge of project management governance, risk, issue resolution, and change control.
• Experience developing integrated project plans, milestones, resources, and executive reporting.
• Ability to drive accountability and deliver results in deadline-driven environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of the annual 1099 reporting program.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and critical-path activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across finance, technology, tax, operations, vendors, and business units.
• Establish governance, communication protocols, escalation paths, and reporting standards.
• Facilitate meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder discussions to maintain alignment.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and action items; drive remediation.
• Communicate requirements and deadlines to participating units; ensure readiness.
• Coordinate testing cycles, vendor file exchanges, and filing readiness reviews.
• Produce executive status reports and milestone updates; escalate as needed.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen governance and efficiency.
• Lead post-filing reviews and continuous-improvement initiatives.
