Job summary

RTX in Goleta is seeking a Scientist/Engineer to advance production epitaxial diode processes for infrared sensors. You will contribute to metrology-driven improvements, interface with technicians, and participate in cross-functional engineering projects in a controlled clean-room environment.

The role emphasizes epitaixial growth knowledge, data analysis, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to meet production goals and schedule urgency.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Minimum 5 years of relevant semiconductor/production experience.

Responsibilities

Work in controlled areas, cleanrooms, laboratories and production environments.
Perform metrology data analysis to quantify crystalline growth and process variability.
Develop equipment, tooling and facility drawings using CAD software.
Conduct data and failure analysis to drive yield improvements.
Apply statistical methods for process control and data interpretation.
