Job summary

Raytheon Vision Systems in Goleta, CA is seeking a Scientist/Engineer to execute and improve production of epitaxially grown infrared diode materials. You will work in cleanrooms with semiconductor materials, apply metrology to assess growth, and support capital equipment installations with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor environments.
• Experience with production environments and cross-functional engineering teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in controlled areas including cleanrooms and labs.
• Directly handle semiconductor materials and process chemicals.
• Utilize metrology to quantify crystalline growth.
• Develop understanding of epitaxial processes.
• Create equipment, tooling and facility drawings using CAD software.
• Perform data and failure analysis to improve process yield.
• Apply advanced mathematical methods for data analysis.
• Apply statistics for process control.
• Use Matlab, Minitab, MS Excel, ProE for data manipulation and design.
• Own automated electronic control systems.
