Teledyne Imaging Sensors seeks an Epitaxy Growth Engineer to advance HgCdTe wafer growth for infrared focal plane arrays. Join a mission-focused team that values technical excellence, collaboration and agility.

You will own MBE growth processes, maintain and repair MBE tools, and drive new techniques to improve yield and throughput, working in a production-like environment in California.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with MBE growth of semiconductors.
• Hands-on experience in MBE tool maintenance and repair.
• Background in opto-electronic devices, optics, electronics, software and test/analysis methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PhD or MS in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years in III-V or II-VI MBE growth and characterization; HgCdTe preferred.
• Experience modeling infrared detector performance.
• Production-scale MBE growth experience with successful execution.
• US Citizenship due to access restrictions.

Responsibilities

• MBE growth production and characterization of HgCdTe wafers for infrared focal plane arrays and detectors.
• MBE tool ownership from planning, maintenance/repair, growth design, recipe writing, wafer growth and characterization.
• Innovate growth and characterization techniques for yield enhancement and throughput.
