Job summary

Google's Raxium display group seeks an Epitaxy (Epi) Process Engineer to own growth processes for microLED technology at scale in Fremont, CA. You will ensure smooth operation methodology and oversight needed for volume manufacturing, collaborating closely with Epi, Equipment Engineering, and Operations teams.

The role emphasizes problem solving, process stability, and the development of novel processes with toolsets in a production environment to drive yield and capacity improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in EE/Material Science/Applied Physics.
• 6 years of experience in epitaxial growth.
• 5 years of technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive solutions for meeting production demands of epitaxy processes at volume manufacturing scale.
• Develop strategies for improved process stability and control for yield improvement; bring up and qualify new tools.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve cycle times and process stability to meet throughput targets.
• Work with software, Epi operations and Epi engineering on SPC and process monitoring to maximize productivity.
• Lead resolution of complex materials and device issues as part of cross-functional teams.
