Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will work with production teams and engineers to ensure equipment readiness, perform scheduled maintenance, and address issues with electrical, mechanical, and PC skills.

The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting, and working in a cleanroom, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and effective communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of maintenance-related experience required.
• Electrical or mechanical, 2-year technical degree or 4 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and sustain equipment performance in assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical, mechanical, and PC skills.
• Communicate equipment status and shift handoffs clearly to Lead Tech/Engineer.
