Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta (Fab 8) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment. You will work with production teams and area engineers, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets, and document equipment status for the Lead Tech and Engineers.

The role requires strong mechanical, electronic, and PC skills, ability to work 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom, and strict adherence to EHS&S policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• 2-year technical/associates in science, math, engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or maintenance preferred.
• Able to work in a cleanroom and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and readiness for manufacturing.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools.
• Document status updates and pass downs to leads/engineers.
• Support training and continuous improvement initiatives.
