Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta, NY facility. You will maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment, perform preventative and corrective actions, and document status updates for engineering leads.

The role requires basic electrical/mechanical skills, cleanroom adaptability, and ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
• Experience or exposure to repair and maintenance in technical environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required per procedures.
• Monitor and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate equipment status and shift pass-downs to Lead Tech/Engineers.
• Review SPC charts for quality and address out-of-control conditions.
