Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Texas is seeking an Equipment Engineer to sustain and optimize the health of the In/Out Room equipment fleet, including automated packaging gear and related systems. You will capture data, build real-time dashboards, and define workflows for proactive actions.

You will serve as the front-line contact when tools fail, coordinate basic recoveries, and collaborate with vendors on escalations. The role emphasizes data analytics, TPM, and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with sub-fab systems in semiconductor industry.
• Experience in other manufacturing environments with large quantities of equipment.
• Proficiency in data/statistical analytics.
• Experience with mechanical repair of equipment.
• Knowledge of common industrial sensors (pressure, temperature, flow).
• Proficiency with TPM concepts and how to implement them in industry.

Responsibilities

• Understand the core function of each equipment type.
• Learn the common failure modes and parameters each equipment can measure.
• Establish maintenance procedures and schedules for all equipment.
• Compile data sets and rank fleet health; build dashboards and KPI metrics.
• Automate escalations of equipment issues based on spec limits.
• Lead projects with defined benefits and ROI; collaborate across modules.
• Produce and maintain fleet documentation, SOPs, and reports.
