Veeco Instruments Inc. seeks a hands-on Equipment Manufacturing Engineer to launch and scale production of an advanced optical deposition system for the semiconductor industry.

The role is on-site at our partner facility in Beverly, MA, with relocation assistance available and close collaboration across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/production support in high-complexity settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary manufacturing engineering support for assembly, integration, test, and production ramp activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and system issues using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, RCCA, PFMEA.
• Partner with assembly technicians on the floor to resolve issues and improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes, work sequencing, routings, and standard work.
• Create and maintain work instructions, assembly procedures, visual aids, training materials, and documentation for consistent quality.
• Support ECO/ECR processes, BOM maintenance in SAP, and manufacturing readiness activities.
