Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly, integration, testing, and production of advanced semiconductor equipment at the Somerset, NJ site.

You will partner with technicians and engineering to improve manufacturability, drive quality, and resolve production issues in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, with direct impact on product quality and factory

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support for assembly, integration, testing, and production of advanced semiconductor equipment.
• Work with manufacturing technicians and operations teams to troubleshoot build and test issues.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Service.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and increase throughput.
