Veeco Instruments Inc. seeks an Equipment Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly, integration, and testing of advanced semiconductor equipment at the Somerset, NJ site.

The role partners with technicians, engineers, and operations to improve manufacturability, drive quality, and resolve production issues. Candidates should have a technical degree and at least 2 years in manufacturing engineering or equivalent, with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years in Manufacturing/Production/ Sustaining Engineering or similar roles for complex electromechanical products.
• Preferred: 5 years in manufacture of complex electromechanical systems; experience with PFMEA, control plans, and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support for assembly, integration, testing, and production of advanced semiconductor equipment.
• Serve as a key technical resource for production quality, reliability, schedule attainment, and operational performance.
• Lead cross‑functional problem solving with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and Service teams.
