Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers in Colorado to blend business development with technical leadership. You will build and manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and seal reports as engineer of record.

You will coordinate with the lab team, supervise field staff, travel to client sites, and represent the company at meetings and industry events. A PE license and 6+ years in related fields are required.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Proven ability to win work or a credible plan to develop new opportunities.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients: general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record, review data, seal reports and letters, and coordinate with laboratory staff.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; represent the company at owner meetings and industry events.
