Job summary

Construction Materials Testing, a national engineering firm, is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to act as seller-doers in Denver. You will pitch testing programs to contractors and owners while reviewing field and lab data, sealing geotechnical letters, and managing client relationships.

You carry a business development target and a technical workload at the same time, and your compensation follows the revenue you bring in. The company supports lab, field staff, and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or able by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
• Track record of bringing in work, or a credible plan to generate revenue.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and saying no to bad contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review data, seal reports/letters, resolve issues.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on your projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
