Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking seller-doer engineers who are licensed Professional Engineers and comfortable both in client meetings and in technical reviews. You’ll manage relationships and a technical workload, with compensation tied to the revenue you bring in.

The company handles the lab, field staff, and quality system while you focus on securing business and stamping reports. You will develop a book of clients across contractors, owners, and design firms for materials testing,

Qualifications

Active PE license in the posting state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
Track record of bringing in work or a credible plan to develop business in this market.
Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record: review field and lab data, seal reports and letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner and industry meetings in your market.
