Job summary

Tri County Community Action in Pennsylvania seeks a Self-Sufficiency Coordinator to guide individuals toward sustainable independence through long-term case management and goal planning. You will maintain client records, assess resource needs, and stay in regular contact with clients.

The role involves partnering with agencies to address barriers, conducting outreach, and leading self-sufficiency workshops while coordinating with related meetings.

Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated and related experience required.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including crisis/conflict management skills and ability to articulate well with both clients and stakeholders.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking and represent the agency in a professional manner.
• Be comfortable visiting clients in a variety of settings.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekend or evening hours.
• State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
• Motor Vehicle Driving clearances.
• Valid PA Driver's License with insurance.
• Reliable transportation available daily.
• Ability to travel within 3-county service region.
• Ability to complete Getting Ahead facilitator training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term case management for enrolled individuals, developing goal plans and staying in regular contact to re-assess resources and keep files up to date.
• Partner with other agencies to address barriers to economic self-sufficiency using a team approach.
• Perform community outreach, network, participate in and attend related meetings with other agencies.
• Conduct individual or group workshop sessions on self-sufficiency topics as assigned.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
