Job summary

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers is seeking a Self-Pay Patient Account Representative to join our Administration team. You will handle self-pay accounts, respond to patient and insurer inquiries, and work toward resolving delinquencies in line with MGMA standards.

Two years in a high-volume medical office and excellent data-entry skills are required. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working in a high volume medical office environment.
• Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to handle all interactions in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Excellent and professional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures of health data systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
• Handles calls and correspondence from patients and insurance companies as they relate to self-pay accounts. Provides prompt resolution to questions or concerns.
• Identifies on a daily basis all delinquent accounts and pursue accounts as described in written policies and procedures.
• Makes recommendations concerning patient accounts to be written off or turned over for collection.
• Monitors work status and maintains productivity within MGMA standards for Patient Account Representatives.
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
