Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida invites applications for a Self-Pay Patient Account Representative in Fort Myers, FL. This role supports the Administration team and focuses on patient accounts, self-pay processing, and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a high-volume medical office.
• Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Professional, friendly and enthusiastic interactions with patients and staff.
• Strong customer service skills in a medical environment.
• Knowledge of health data systems and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
• Handles calls and correspondence from patients and insurance companies as they relate to self-pay accounts. Provides prompt resolution to questions or concerns.
• Identifies on a daily basis all delinquent accounts and pursue accounts as described in written policies and procedures.
• Makes recommendations concerning patient accounts to be written off or turned over for collection.
• Monitors work status and maintains productivity within MGMA standards for Patient Account Representatives.
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
