Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our Administration team. The role supports multiple locations with a focus on accurate data handling and patient confidentiality.

You will sort, scan and file medical record reports, process release requests, and assist clinicians and staff while upholding HIPAA guidelines in a high-volume medical office.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical records or health information management.
• Ability to handle high-volume medical office tasks.
• Strong data entry and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Sort incoming medical record reports from all locations daily.
• Scan patient information and file reports, lab results, and correspondence.
• Process release information requests to other providers for continuity of care.
• Assist providers and staff with locating information and processing requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
