Job summary

Food Lion in Windsor, NC is seeking a PT Self Checkout Ambassador to provide fast, friendly service at the Front End. You will greet customers, assist with self-checkout, and ensure smooth transactions while maintaining a clean and organized area.

Responsibilities include monitoring SCO stations, guiding customers, and completing required training. Physical stamina and a customer-first mindset are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each item.
• Remind customers of items located on the bottom of the cart or items under baby seats prior to them completing the transaction.
• When needed, assist in scanning the customer's order and provide instructions on payment.
• Complete self-checkout voids, age restricted item verifications and any other SCO assist function in accordance with Front End Standard Practice.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
