Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador in Burlington, NC to provide fast, friendly service at the front end and support customers using self-checkout stations. You will greet customers, guide them through self-checkout, and ensure accurate scanning and smooth transactions.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, monitoring self-checkout areas, resolving issues, keeping areas clean, and adhering to Front End Standard Practices.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers by name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts and hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
• Monitor self-checkouts for proper usage and accurate item scanning.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers per standards.
• Ensure self-checkout area is neat, clean and properly stocked with bags.
