Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate in Henderson, NC to provide fast, friendly service and uphold customer service standards. You’ll assist customers, greet with a smile and help with self-checkout processes, self-checkout issues, and related store procedures to maximize sales and ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role emphasizes courteous interaction, adherence to dress code, and the ability to perform basic computer and scanning tasks.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each item.
Complete self-checkout voids, age restricted item verifications and any other SCO assist function.
