Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self Checkout Ambassador in the Front End to provide fast, friendly service and maintain store standards. You will greet customers by name when possible, assist with checkout transactions, and help with bagging and item placement to enhance the shopping experience.

The role requires effective communication, strong customer service, and the ability to learn multiple tasks and cashier systems. Reports to the Customer Service Manager in the Front End department.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers.
• Handle scanning, payments, and cash control per standard practice.
• Maintain clean, neat front end area and store presentation.
• Notify QA of any cleaning issues or maintenance required on front end.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
