You will oversee self-checkout units, assist customers, and maintain a clean, efficient checkout area in a fast-paced retail setting. The role emphasizes attentiveness to promotions, smooth transaction flows, and friendly interactions with shoppers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-checkout units and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers as they scan, weigh, bag and pay for items.
• Handle multiple customers and anticipate issues.
• Answer questions and resolve scanning, weighing, payment issues.
• Monitor scanning activity for accuracy.
• Encourage use of self-checkout lanes when lines form.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store locations.
• Keep self-checkout areas clean and orderly; perform related duties.
• Thank customers leaving the self-checkout area.
