Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Self-Checkout Host to deliver exceptional customer service while customers scan and self-pay for their baskets. You will oversee self-checkout units and assist customers to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

Responsibilities include helping with scanning, weighing, bagging, and payment, maintaining clean areas, and supporting teammates in a fast-paced grocery environment. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Retail/customer service experience; 1–2 years cashier preferred.
• Positive attitude with ability to interact with customers.
• Operate front end equipment: register, scanner, calculator.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-checkout units and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Assist customers as they scan, weigh, bag and pay for items.
• Handle multiple customers and anticipate issues.
• Answer questions and resolve scanning, weighing or payment issues.
• Monitor scanning accuracy and encourage use of self-checkout lanes.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store directions.
• Keep self-checkout areas clean and perform related duties.
• Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area.
