Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Self-Checkout Host to greet customers, assist with self-checkout, and ensure a smooth, friendly checkout experience.

You will oversee self-checkout stations, help customers scan and weigh items, and resolve issues promptly while maintaining a clean, organized area and promoting promotions. The role supports a fast-paced, service-driven store environment.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment; 1-2 years of cashier experience preferred.
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to positively interact with customers.
• Be able to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-checkout units and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers as they scan, weigh, bag and pay for items.
• Serve multiple customers at once and anticipate issues.
• Answer questions and assist with scanning, weighing, and payment issues.
• Monitor scanning activity for accuracy and invite customers to use self-checkout lanes when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and events; direct customers to product locations.
• Keep self-checkout areas clean and perform related duties.
• Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area.
