Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Self-Checkout Host to deliver outstanding customer service at the self-checkout area. You will guide customers through scanning, bagging, and paying while ensuring a smooth checkout experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of cashier experience is preferred. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred (1–2 years cashier)
• Ability to interact positively with customers and work in a team
• Able to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., and move carts up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-checkout units and deliver prompt, friendly service
• Assist customers with scanning, weighing, bagging and paying for items
• Handle multiple customers simultaneously and anticipate issues
• Answer questions and resolve scanning or payment issues as they arise
• Monitor scanning accuracy and encourage self-checkout use when lines form
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and product locations
• Keep self-checkout areas clean and orderly and perform related duties
• Thank customers as they exit the self-checkout area
