Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County seeks a Social-Emotional Learning & Disabilities Specialist to lead SEL initiatives and disabilities support across Thrive to Five. The role is based in Lancaster, with travel to classrooms countywide and reporting to the Manager of Early Learning and Support Services.

The position emphasizes collaboration, program development, and staff training on PBIS, inclusion practices, and SEL curriculum integration to promote equitable access for all

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Special Education, or related field.
• Two years of work experience related to the care and development of young children.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• Experience using adult learning principles, training adults; PQAS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching to staff around PBIS Universal/Foundational practices.
• Develop and support implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Support Plans.
• Observe, interview staff, and collect data to guide classroom social skills strategies.
• Develop social/emotional lesson plans for universal classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with supervisors to monitor PBIS plan implementation across levels.
