Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools seeks a Social Emotional Learning Specialist to advance school-wide SEL initiatives. You will collaborate with administration, counselors, and teachers to assess needs and implement SEL programs that foster a positive climate. This role emphasizes coaching, data‑driven planning, and staff development.

You will lead adult learning sessions, analyze climate data, and support resilience and wellness across schools, aligning with district goals and certified practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Education preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in education preferred.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge and experience in planning and leading effective adult learning.
• Ability to structure own time and manage multiple perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administration, mental health providers, counselors, and teachers to support SEL framework implementation and wellness.
• Build and participate in a continuum of SEL services to support all students.
• Lead planning and delivery of guaranteed SEL instruction in the building.
• Provide coaching to teachers and staff to create inclusive and respectful classrooms.
• Review school data to design SEL interventions and support.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to increase SEL knowledge.
