Job summary

Nova Group, GBC seeks a PE Licensed - Structural and Seismic Project Engineer to lead onsite inspections and seismic assessments. You will gather data, prepare SRAs, and manage related engineering scopes including Balcony Inspections and Limited Structural Evaluations.

Join a project delivery team working with senior engineers and managers to ensure high-quality deliverables. Travel up to 50% across the Western US; some remote work flexibility may be available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, seismic design or related assessments.
• Professional Engineering licensure (Civil/Structural/Seismic).
• Knowledge of building components and structural systems.
• Familiarity with ASTM E2026-16a/E2026-24 for Seismic Risk Assessments.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite inspections of existing buildings for data collection.
• Prepare Seismic Risk Assessments and related reports (SRAs, field checklists).
• Conduct Balcony Inspections or Limited Structural Evaluations as needed.
• Travel up to 50% across the Western US; collaborate with project team.
