Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. Teach Elementary General Curriculum in an inclusive setting for students with Special Needs and English Language Learners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 license with Moderate Disabilities PK-8.
SEI endorsement or ESL license preferred.
Must meet Standards of Effective Teaching.
Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Teach Elementary General Curriculum inclusive of students with Special Needs and English Language Learners (SEI).
Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
Write and implement IEP goals and report progress regularly.
Provide accommodations and, if needed, develop curriculum and assess progress for MCAS Alternate assessments.
Collaborate with school staff to support student needs.
