Job summary

Vylor in Rushville, Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. The role emphasizes safety as the top priority, operating seed production processes, and using automation and PCs to complete daily tasks.

Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working rotating shifts, including 8- to 10-hour days during peak season. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (with intent to obtain within 12 months) and a valid US driver’s license.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support seed production processes including receiving, sorting, drying, shelling, and bulk handling.
• Perform color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging, and palletizing duties.
• Utilize automation and computer systems (PLC, computers, tablets) to perform tasks.
• Assist with warehousing tasks: forklift operation, quality sampling, picking, and pooling.
• Collect data for continuous improvement initiatives and support Bottoms Up Planning.
• Adhere to safety standards and quality plans; participate in safety programs.
