Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Production Technician for our Rushville, Indiana facility. The role involves safe, hands-on production work including seed corn harvest, sorting, treating, packaging, and palletizing, with heavy emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (GED within 12 months) and candidates with a two‑year technical/associate degree or relevant experience will be preferred. On‑site shifts and rotating schedules apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; GED within 12 months of hire
• Two-year technical/associate degree preferred
• 1 year of operations/manufacturing/agriculture experience preferred
• LEAN Manufacturing knowledge (5S, CI, Standardized Work) preferred

Responsibilities

• Model Safety as the number one focus.
• Be safety steward of a designated program.
• Assist seed corn harvest activities (receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling).
• Operate packaging, color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, and palletizing tasks.
• Utilize automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads).
• Support data collection for continuous improvement projects.
