Job summary

Vylor’s Rushville, Indiana production facility is seeking a Production Technician to join a high-performing team. This role involves seed corn harvest activities, packaging, and operating automated systems on rotating shifts with overtime during peak seasons.

The position emphasizes safety, strong communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a valid U.S. driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external customers.
• Able to use computers and basic software for data entry and records.
• Willing to learn new processes and grow in a manufacturing setting.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Support seed corn harvest activities including receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling, and bulk operations.
• Perform color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging, and palletizing operations.
• Operate automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads) for production tasks.
• Assist with warehousing activities including forklift operation and quality sampling.
• Collect data for continuous improvement projects and assist with maintenance tasks.
