Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Production Technician for our Rushville, Indiana facility. You will support seed production, operate automated systems, and ensure safety and quality across packaging and warehousing tasks.

The role requires physical work, shift flexibility, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The site runs peak-season schedules and offers development opportunities, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or ability to obtain GED within 12 months.
• Safety-minded and able to follow safety protocols.
• Willing to rotate shifts and overtime during peak season.
• Valid US Driver’s License.
• Comfortable with computer-based tasks and learning new applications.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

• Model Safety as the number one focus.
• 100% safety steward of a designated program.
• Seed corn harvest activities: receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling, bulk operations.
• Process activities: color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging, palletizing.
• Use of automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads).
• Return and rework activities.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with the quality plan.
• Warehousing activities including forklift operation, quality sampling, picking and pooling.
• Data collection for continuous improvement projects (Bottoms Up Planning).
• Facility and equipment maintenance task assignments.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
