Job summary

Vylor in Renwick, Iowa is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support seed production operations on-site. You will operate process equipment, follow detailed quality plans, and collect data to drive continuous improvement while supporting maintenance and safety initiatives.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays during peak periods.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required; GED within one year of hire may be acceptable.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime during seasonal peaks is required.
Able to work independently and in a team; strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of process equipment following safety policies.
Adhere to Quality Plan Work Instructions and requirements.
Collect and record data for continuous improvement projects and production records.
Support preventative maintenance and other repair efforts.
Lead or support safety programs to enhance site safety.
Assist with warehousing activities including forklift operation.
Use automation and computerized systems to perform tasks (HMI, computers, iPads).
Potential field management activities such as scouting and logistics planning, plus relationships with growers/contractors.
Assist with harvest activities including preparation, seed sampling, truck unloading, and related tasks.
