Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Lexington Park, MD, is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based solutions for a government software hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base. The role requires an active Secret clearance with potential to upgrade to Top Secret after starting.

SEP-1 scheduling notes indicate funding readiness by September 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will deploy and maintain hardware, manage virtualization and containers, and ensure robust backups,

Qualifications

• At least three years experience performing many of the responsibilities listed in this job requisition.
• Experience with evaluating RMF compliance including performing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
