Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD. The role requires on-site presence and an active Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret.

Candidate will deploy and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure, manage backups, and ensure security posture per DoD guidance while collaborating with agile project teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on experience in system administration.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance, STIGs, and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting environments.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions; deploy and maintain apps.
• Triage technical issues and provide customer guidance.
