Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an on-site System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent, MD. The role requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret clearance after start and U.S. citizenship.

You will deploy and maintain hardware, virtual machines, and containers, and ensure secure DoD-aligned configurations and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience performing system administration in a government software hosting facility.
• Experience with RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• A certification in Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting needs.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain documentation and knowledge base.
