CDM Smith is seeking candidates for a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer. You will lead projects for Federal and Public sector clients, functioning both independently and as a team mentor of engineers and scientists on sediment remediation efforts.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, about 7 years of related experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and workload.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Aufgaben

• Providing expertise in evaluating the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and designing sediment remediation solutions for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port sites.
• Understanding the scientific and engineering principles of sediment and contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring technologies, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial action design, and remedial action construction.
• Providing support of mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serving as CDM Smith’s task manager on sediment sites, communicating technical strategy to the client and collaborating with subject matter experts.
• Possessing expertise in CERCLA, GLLA, and/or other regulatory steps at contaminated sediment sites.
• Serving as a technical liaison with the client, public, and outside consultants, explaining complex evaluations to non-subject matter experts.
• Leading staff in preparing and reviewing technical information to ensure it is technically sound and compliant.
