Job summary

Pivotal Health in the United States is seeking a Head of Security to build and own the company's security program from the ground up. You will shape strategy, governance, and controls across engineering, compliance, and customer trust in a fast-growing AI-native healthcare technology company.

This leadership role requires deep technical depth to engage with engineering and broad business savvy to navigate regulatory requirements, audits, and customer assurance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security experience across technical and program-level work.
• Experience building or maturing a security program at a high-growth company.
• Hands-on with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Comfortable representing security to customers, auditors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Pivotal's security program.
• Partner with engineering to embed security into the platform.
• Lead compliance and regulatory readiness (SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Stay ahead of the threat landscape and evolving security practices.
• Interface with customers and external stakeholders (trust reviews, security questionnaires).
• Drive security awareness across the organization (non-engineering teams).
• Develop guidelines for emerging technologies (AI/LLM security).
