Job summary
Verily Health is seeking a seasoned security leader to build, mentor, and scale a 20-person security organization that safeguards our AI-enabled healthcare platforms and data. You will define security strategy across products and corporate systems, recruit top talent, and drive automation and AI-driven security tools in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Regulatory, and Legal teams.
The role requires a track record in governance, risk, and compliance, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2, plus
Qualifications
- 8+ years managing security engineering or information security teams.
- 10+ years in software security and related tools.
- 5+ years with cloud/enterprise security deployments.
- Proven ability to align security with software engineering.
- Experience with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
- Hands-on with hyperscaler platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Security.
Responsibilities
- Set security strategy and roadmap for products and internal systems.
- Recruit and build a high-performing security team.
- Advance AI-driven security tools and automation.
- Collaborate with Leadership across Engineering, Product, Regulatory, Legal, IT, Finance.
- Engage with customers and industry partners externally.
