Job summary

Verily Health seeks a passionate Security leader to run the centralized Security organization. You will set strategy, recruit and mentor a 20-person team, and partner with Engineering, Product, Regulatory, Legal, IT to secure our healthcare platforms and data.

This role requires deep experience in security engineering, cloud security, governance, risk and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2), and a proven ability to balance protection with product delivery in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

8 years of progressive management experience in security engineering and/or information security organizations.
10 years of technical experience in software, security, and relevant tools.
5 years of experience with cloud and enterprise security systems, including customer engagements.
Proven ability to align security strategy with software development goals.
Experience with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Hands-on experience with Okta, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk and hyperscaler platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Set security strategy and roadmap supporting external products and internal systems.
Recruit, develop, and lead a 20-person security team.
Scale AI-driven security tools and automate security patterns with engineering.
Collaborate with leadership across Engineering, Product, Regulatory, IT, Legal, and Finance.
Represent Verily externally with customers and security organizations.
