Job summary

interface.ai is hiring a Head of Security & Privacy Engineering to define and execute our enterprise‑wide security and privacy strategy. You will lead a program ensuring AI products and cloud infrastructure are secure, compliant, and resilient, while driving governance, culture, and risk management across the organization.

You will build and mentor a high‑performing team, embed DevSecOps, and push privacy‑by‑design across all engineering and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of cybersecurity leadership experience, ideally in regulated environments.
• AI & Generative AI security experience with risk awareness for prompts, data leakage, and model misuse.
• Cloud security expertise focused on AWS and secure cloud-native infrastructure.
• Security architecture and DevSecOps practices across APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Data protection, IAM, encryption, threat modeling for sensitive financial data.
• Strong understanding of GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2 and enterprise security frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead, communicate risk to executives, and build teams.

Responsibilities

• Own security, privacy, and compliance across the company.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead incident response and ongoing risk assessments.
• Partner with executives to align security with business goals and risk tolerance.
• Oversee regulatory compliance with GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2, and related frameworks.
• Champion privacy-by-design across products and AI initiatives.
• Lead security initiatives for AI-powered products with secure architectures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Product on due diligence.
