Job summary

The City of Albuquerque is seeking a dedicated learning and security training professional to design, develop, and implement blended training programs for security operations. You will coordinate onboarding, schedule sessions, and manage training records to ensure compliance with regulations and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in organizational training, adult learning theory, industrial and organizational psychology, education, business, or criminology; and four (4) years of experience in organizational training, training program management, or training program administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and facilitate blended security training programs and curricula; deliver Basic Security Officer Training and specialized trainings.
• Analyze learning needs across security levels and ensure compliance with best practices, contracts and regulations.
• Coordinate, schedule, register and host security-focused training sessions; manage testing databases and provide required reports.
• Lead classroom and web-based trainings, including live and online group sessions; conduct training audits and assess effectiveness.
• Support security recruitment by attending job fairs and coordinating onboarding and training for new staff.
• Collaborate with Employee Learning Center and learning management systems to measure and maintain online and classroom learning programs.
• Develop surveys and exams to assess training needs and effectiveness; market training opportunities to security staff.
• Seek advanced training opportunities for Metro Security Division personnel and coordinate with external training centers.
