Job summary

Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is seeking an Learning & Development Specialist in New York City to bridge Training with operations. You will intake training requests, craft curriculum outlines, and ensure materials meet compliance and strategic goals.

You will conduct trainer briefings, write assessments, and maintain governance over LMS portfolios, ensuring high-quality, scalable learning solutions for a 3+ year track in instructional design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in instructional design, curriculum writing, or L&D partnering.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and framework models (ADDIE/SAM).
• Strong stakeholder management, technical writing, coaching, and compliance audit capabilities.
• Law Enforcement or Military experience required.

Responsibilities

• Intake field training requests and translate needs into instructional strategies.
• Write original course outlines, lesson plans, storyboards, and assessments aligned with adult learning.
• Lead Train-the-Trainer briefings and develop Facilitator Guides for field trainers.
• Audit materials for compliance, align with regulatory requirements and company goals.
• Manage LMS course portfolio and hand off scoped blueprints to Content Designer.
